The Forest Way (Sustrans route 21)
The Forest Way runs along a dis-used railway line between East Grinstead and Groombridge just to the Southwest of Tunbridge Wells. This marvellous trail skirts the edge of the Medway river in this area of outstanding natural beauty and passes the village Hartfield along the way (the old home of AA Milne). This is countryside that inspired Winnie the Pooh. A great family day out, the route is off-road and pretty flat. There are picnic benches to be found along the route as well a great pubs in Groombridge, Hartfield and Forest Row to explore. We have partnered with three wonderful venues along the route where you can just turn up and hire our bikes using the App. Alternatively if you want to travel to the area and hire bikes for the day, we can arrange to deliver and collect bikes to East Grinstead station or Eridge station. Forest Way bike hire has never been so easy. We offer bike hire from East Grinstead, bike hire from Forest Row, bike hire from Hartfield, bike hire from Groombridge and bike hire from Eridge…just take your pick and take time to explore the area.
